BetterSuite Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") supplements the BetterSuite Terms of Service and applies to all users of the BetterSuite platform, including Tenant Operators and End Users. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.


1. Purpose

This AUP establishes rules for responsible use of the BetterSuite platform. It exists to protect the integrity and availability of the Platform, ensure compliance with applicable laws, and maintain trust between all participants in the BetterSuite ecosystem.

Violation of this AUP may result in warnings, suspension, or termination of access in accordance with the Terms of Service (Section 10).


2. General Platform Rules

2.1 Lawful Use

All activity on the Platform must comply with applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations. Users must not use the Platform to facilitate, promote, or engage in any unlawful activity.

2.2 Accuracy of Information

All users must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and throughout their use of the Platform. Falsifying identity, credentials, or business information is prohibited.

2.3 Account Integrity

  • Each individual or business entity may maintain only one account per Tenant (except where multiple roles are legitimately held).
  • Sharing account credentials with unauthorized persons is prohibited.
  • Creating accounts to circumvent previous suspensions, bans, or restrictions is prohibited.

2.4 Respectful Conduct

Users must interact with other platform participants (customers, drivers, merchants, service providers, support staff) in a professional and respectful manner. The following are prohibited:

  • Harassment, threats, intimidation, or discriminatory behavior
  • Abusive language directed at other users or platform staff
  • Manipulation of ratings or review systems (fraudulent reviews, retaliatory ratings, review solicitation through incentives)

2.5 Content Standards

Content uploaded to or transmitted through the Platform must not:

  • Contain malware, viruses, or other harmful code
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party
  • Include content that is defamatory, obscene, or promotes illegal activity
  • Contain personally identifiable information of third parties without their consent

3. Technical Use Restrictions

3.1 Prohibited Technical Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Reverse engineering: Decompiling, disassembling, or attempting to derive the source code of the Platform (except where expressly permitted by applicable law)
  • Unauthorized access: Accessing or attempting to access systems, data, or accounts without authorization, including other Tenants' data
  • Scraping and crawling: Automated data collection from the Platform beyond authorized API usage
  • Interference: Any activity that disrupts, degrades, or impairs the Platform's performance or availability, including denial-of-service attacks, flooding, or intentional overloading
  • Circumvention: Bypassing or attempting to bypass security measures, rate limits, usage quotas, or access controls
  • Exploitation: Exploiting bugs, vulnerabilities, or errors in the Platform for unauthorized purposes (vulnerabilities should be reported to [email protected])

3.2 API Usage

Tenant Operators using BetterSuite APIs must:

  • Adhere to documented rate limits and usage quotas
  • Authenticate all API requests using valid credentials
  • Not share API keys or tokens with unauthorized third parties
  • Not use APIs for purposes outside the scope of the Agreement
  • Implement appropriate error handling and backoff strategies

3.3 Data Handling

  • Users must not attempt to extract, download, or replicate the Platform's databases or datasets beyond authorized data export functions
  • Tenant Operators are responsible for securing their own API keys, webhook secrets, and integration credentials
  • End User data must be handled in accordance with applicable data protection law and the Tenant's own privacy policy

4. Taxi and Ride-Hailing Vertical

4.1 Driver Requirements

Tenant Operators who activate the Taxi vertical must ensure that all drivers operating through their platform:

  • Hold a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle class and jurisdiction
  • Maintain current vehicle insurance that covers commercial passenger transport (where required by law)
  • Maintain valid vehicle registration and pass any required vehicle inspections
  • Complete all KYC verification steps configured by the Tenant, including identity verification and background checks where required
  • Meet minimum age requirements set by applicable transport regulations
  • Are not under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that impairs driving ability while using the Platform

4.2 Vehicle Standards

Vehicles used for ride-hailing through the Platform must:

  • Be roadworthy and comply with all applicable safety standards
  • Have valid registration and insurance documentation
  • Meet any vehicle age, condition, or equipment requirements set by the Tenant or local regulations
  • Display any required permits, licenses, or identifiers mandated by local transport authorities

4.3 Passenger Safety

  • Drivers must follow safe driving practices and comply with all traffic laws
  • Drivers must follow the route determined by the Platform's navigation unless a reasonable alternative is agreed with the passenger
  • Drivers must not refuse rides based on the passenger's destination, race, religion, gender, disability, or any other protected characteristic
  • Passengers must wear seatbelts where required by law and must not engage in behavior that endangers the driver or other road users

4.4 Transport Licensing

Tenant Operators are solely responsible for:

  • Obtaining all necessary transport operator licenses, permits, and regulatory approvals in their operating jurisdictions
  • Ensuring compliance with local ride-hailing, taxi, or private hire regulations
  • Meeting any regulatory reporting or data sharing requirements imposed by transport authorities
  • BetterSuite is a technology platform provider and does not hold transport operator licenses on behalf of Tenants

5. Shop and E-Commerce Vertical

5.1 Merchant Requirements

Tenant Operators who activate the Shop vertical must ensure that all merchants operating through their platform:

  • Hold valid business registration or trade licenses as required by their jurisdiction
  • Comply with applicable consumer protection laws, including accurate product descriptions, pricing transparency, and warranty obligations
  • Comply with applicable tax laws, including collection and remittance of sales tax, VAT, or GST where required
  • Complete all required KYC verification steps

5.2 Product Standards

Products and services offered through the Platform must:

  • Be legal to sell in the jurisdiction where they are offered
  • Be accurately described, including composition, origin, allergens (for food items), and any relevant safety warnings
  • Not include counterfeit, stolen, or unlicensed goods
  • Not include prohibited items, including but not limited to: weapons, explosives, controlled substances, prescription medications (without proper licensing), endangered species products, or items subject to sanctions or export controls

5.3 Food Safety

Merchants selling food products must:

  • Hold valid food handling, preparation, and sale licenses or permits as required by local health authorities
  • Comply with food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper storage, handling, and temperature control
  • Accurately disclose ingredients and allergen information
  • Meet packaging and labeling requirements under applicable law

5.4 Pricing and Promotions

  • All prices must be displayed accurately and must include or clearly disclose applicable taxes and fees
  • Promotions, discounts, and coupons must be honored as advertised
  • Bait-and-switch tactics, hidden fees, or deceptive pricing practices are prohibited

6. Parking Vertical

6.1 Parking Provider Requirements

Tenant Operators who activate the Parking vertical must ensure that all parking spot providers:

  • Have legal authority to offer the listed parking spaces (ownership, lease, or management agreement)
  • Accurately represent the location, availability, size, and features of parking spaces
  • Maintain safe and accessible parking facilities in compliance with local building and safety codes
  • Comply with applicable accessibility requirements (e.g., ADA in the US, Equality Act in the UK)

6.2 Parking Operations

  • Listed parking spaces must be available as represented during the booked time periods
  • Pricing must be transparent, including any additional fees for extended stays, oversized vehicles, or special services
  • Providers must not overbook spaces beyond physical capacity
  • Dispute resolution for parking-related issues (vehicle damage, unauthorized towing) must be handled in accordance with local law

7. Services Vertical

7.1 Service Provider Requirements

Tenant Operators who activate the Services vertical must ensure that all service providers:

  • Hold valid professional licenses, certifications, or qualifications required by their trade and jurisdiction (e.g., plumbing, electrical, cosmetology, healthcare)
  • Maintain appropriate professional liability or indemnity insurance where required or customary
  • Complete all required KYC verification steps
  • Accurately represent their qualifications, experience, and service capabilities

7.2 Service Standards

  • Services must be performed with reasonable skill and care in accordance with industry standards
  • Service providers must arrive at agreed times or provide reasonable notice of delays
  • Service providers must not subcontract or delegate work to unlicensed individuals without the customer's knowledge and consent
  • Pricing must be transparent and consistent with quotes provided through the Platform

7.3 Regulated Services

For services that are regulated (healthcare, legal, financial, construction, etc.):

  • Service providers must comply with all applicable professional regulations, codes of conduct, and reporting requirements
  • Tenant Operators are responsible for configuring appropriate KYC verification levels for regulated service categories
  • BetterSuite does not verify professional licenses or qualifications; verification is the responsibility of the Tenant Operator through the KYC system

8. Financial Integrity

8.1 Anti-Money Laundering (AML)

The Platform must not be used to facilitate money laundering, terrorist financing, or other financial crimes. All users must:

  • Not use the Platform to process, transfer, or conceal proceeds of unlawful activity
  • Cooperate with KYC verification processes configured by the Tenant
  • Not structure transactions to avoid reporting thresholds or verification requirements

8.2 Fraud Prevention

The following fraudulent activities are prohibited:

  • Creating fake orders, rides, bookings, or transactions to inflate metrics or generate illegitimate revenue
  • Manipulating surge pricing, promotional offers, or referral programs
  • Using stolen or unauthorized payment methods
  • Collusion between drivers and passengers, merchants and buyers, or any other parties to defraud the Platform or its users
  • Chargebacks filed fraudulently or in bad faith

8.3 Sanctions Compliance

Users must not use the Platform to transact with individuals, entities, or jurisdictions subject to economic sanctions imposed by applicable authorities (including but not limited to US OFAC, EU restrictive measures, and UK sanctions).


9. Privacy and Data Protection

9.1 Tenant Operator Obligations

As data controllers, Tenant Operators must:

  • Publish and maintain a privacy policy that accurately describes their data processing activities using the Platform
  • Obtain lawful consent from End Users for data processing where required
  • Configure appropriate data retention policies through the Platform's administration tools
  • Respond to Data Subject requests (access, deletion, portability) in accordance with applicable law
  • Not collect or process End User data through the Platform for purposes beyond those disclosed in their privacy policy

9.2 End User Data

  • Users must not collect, store, or share other users' personal data obtained through the Platform for purposes outside the scope of the relevant transaction or service
  • Drivers must not contact passengers, and merchants must not contact customers, using personal contact information obtained through the Platform for purposes unrelated to the service provided
  • End Users must not publicly share other users' personal data, including photographs, location information, or contact details, without consent

10. Enforcement

10.1 Investigation

BetterSuite reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP. Investigation may include:

  • Reviewing account activity and transaction records
  • Analyzing system logs and usage patterns
  • Requesting information from the reported user or Tenant
  • Cooperating with law enforcement where required or appropriate

10.2 Actions

Upon confirming a violation, BetterSuite may take one or more of the following actions at its discretion:

10.3 Appeals

Users who believe an enforcement action was taken in error may appeal by contacting [email protected] within 30 days of the action. Appeals will be reviewed by a different team member than the one who made the original decision. BetterSuite will respond to appeals within 15 business days.

10.4 Tenant Operator Responsibility

Tenant Operators are primarily responsible for enforcing acceptable use standards within their own platforms. BetterSuite's enforcement is reserved for:

  • Violations that affect Platform integrity, security, or availability
  • Violations of applicable law or regulations
  • Situations where the Tenant Operator is unable or unwilling to address the violation
  • Violations by the Tenant Operator itself

11. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of a violation of this AUP, please report it to:

  • Any supporting evidence (screenshots, URLs, transaction IDs)
  • Your contact information for follow-up

We will acknowledge reports within 2 business days and investigate promptly. Reporter identities are kept confidential where possible.


12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time to reflect changes in the Platform, applicable law, or industry best practices. Material changes will be communicated with at least 30 days' advance notice via email to Tenant Operators. The current version is always available at the URL where this document is published.
