Our Journey

From Client Projects To Our Own Platform

BetterSuite started in February 2018 as one developer and one designer building a ride-hailing app called Ridy. Eight years of shipping it to operators worldwide — 1,400+ sales as an Envato Elite Author — and supporting them in production gave us the experience to build a scalable platform of our own — now powered by Rust and live, starting with BetterTaxi.

2018

Ridy — one developer, one designer, one vision

We started in February 2018 as one developer and one designer who bet that on-demand services were the future. We launched Ridy, our first-generation native iOS and Android ride-hailing apps, and began selling it to operators worldwide. Those original native apps have since been retired.

2020

Ridy, rebuilt on Flutter

We rebuilt Ridy from the ground up on Flutter — a single codebase serving iOS, Android, and web — making it faster to ship and far cheaper to maintain. The Flutter edition is still sold today on CodeCanyon and remains our most-deployed product — the revenue behind 1,400+ sales as an Envato Elite Author is what funded the R&D for BetterSuite.

2021–2023

Ridy at scale — and the experiments that didn't make the cut

For three years Ridy was the whole focus: shipping updates and supporting operators in production. Alongside it we prototyped beyond ride-hailing — delivery, parking, services. Most of those prototypes never shipped; they didn't feel right, and we'd rather kill an idea than launch something half-built. Each one taught us what a real multi-vertical platform would actually need.

2024

BetterUI — one design language

The pieces finally fell into place. We built BetterUI, a single design system to unify every surface, and rebuilt our admin panel on top of it — retiring the legacy Angular console for something coherent, fast, and consistent.

2025

A platform, not a product

Through 2025 we built BetterSuite end to end: a new Rust backend and a fresh generation of mobile apps, all following BetterUI's principles — work that gradually grew us from the founding two into a team of seven. One coherent, expandable marketplace platform for on-demand businesses — built to host many verticals on shared infrastructure, not a pile of separate scripts.

2026

BetterSuite launches — starting with BetterTaxi

BetterSuite went live in 2026, led by BetterTaxi — the first vertical on the new platform. It's production-ready and onboarding operators today, with delivery, parking, and services on the same foundation to follow. Eight years of building for others, distilled into a platform of our own.
