Both Ship Branded Apps. Only One Takes a Cut of Every Fare.

Onde is a serious platform: over 400 operators, native apps in its cheapest tier, and no ceiling on drivers or orders anywhere. It also charges $4,500 up front, $99 a month, and a share of every completed trip that it does not publish. BetterTaxi bills like software — a flat monthly fee, or a licence you run yourself — and takes nothing from your fares. Which one wins is a question about volume.

Quick Verdict

It Comes Down to What You Pay at Volume.

Both platforms put your brand on native customer and driver apps and give your dispatchers a desk to work from. They bill for it in opposite ways, and that is the decision.

RECOMMENDED
BetterTaxi

BetterTaxi

A white-label ride-hailing platform billed like software: a flat monthly subscription, or a one-time licence you run on your own servers. We take 0% of what your riders pay you.

  • Best for: operators whose software bill should not grow with their fares
  • Best for: teams that want the option to self-host or hold the source
  • Best for: adding delivery, parking or bookings from the same vendor

Consider: Cloud tiers cap monthly orders and include one business type and one city, your own branded mobile apps start on the Professional tier, and we will not run your app-store optimisation or buy your first riders the way Onde will.

Onde

Onde

A mature ride-hailing platform with more than 400 operators behind it. Native apps, no fleet or order ceiling on any tier, and a team that will run your launch marketing — paid for with a one-time fee and a share of every trip.

  • Best for: operators who want launch marketing bought with the software
  • Best for: fleets with large or unpredictable order volume and no ceiling
  • Best for: testing a market first on Onde.Light with nothing up front

Consider: the revenue share is never published, so you cannot model your own unit economics until a sales call — and the percentage keeps taking as you grow. Delivery arrives as a second vendor's product.

Deep dive

Where the Difference Actually Shows Up.

Onde is a good product, and one of the four differences below runs in their favour. The one that decides most cases is the percentage.

The Percentage Is the Price

Onde's headline is $4,500. The number that decides your five-year cost is the one they do not print — a share of every completed trip, quoted privately and charged for as long as you stay. Onde.Light, their entry product, publishes 1.9% after 1,000 free rides a month; the full platform's rate is settled on a call.

BetterTaxi

A flat monthly fee, or a one-time licence. The bill is the same at 100 rides and at 100,000.

Onde

A one-time fee, a monthly fee, and an undisclosed cut of every fare that grows exactly as fast as you do.

What Onde Does Better

Worth saying plainly, because it decides real cases. Onde has more than 400 operators behind it, puts no ceiling on drivers, riders, orders or cities on any plan, ships native apps in its cheapest tier, answers round the clock, and will run your app-store optimisation and buy your first riders as part of the package.

BetterTaxi

Cloud tiers cap monthly orders and cities, and launch marketing is your job. You bring the demand.

Onde

No volume ceiling anywhere, and a marketing team included — a real advantage if you have no growth function of your own.

Delivery Comes From a Second Vendor

Onde does have delivery. The Super App is a joint product with Playfood, a separate company, at $6,500 one-time and $259 a month, and it takes a share of cart totals as well as fares. That is an integration between two vendors, not one platform — and parking and service bookings are not offered at all.

BetterTaxi

Delivery, parking and bookings are modules of the same codebase, behind one admin, billed as an add-on to your plan.

Onde

Rides from Onde, delivery from Playfood — two products, two roadmaps, two commercial relationships.

You Can Take the Code

Onde is cloud-only: the platform runs on their infrastructure, and there is no self-hosted or source option at any tier. BetterTaxi is available the same way, and also as a binary licence from £4,499 or a full source licence you run yourself — which is the difference between renting a platform and owning one.

BetterTaxi

Subscribe, or buy the binary, or buy the source. The last two do not stop working when the invoice does.

Onde

Cloud only, at every tier. The apps, the data and the dispatch desk stay on their platform.

  • $4,500 to $23,000 up front, depending on the tier
  • Unlimited drivers, riders, orders and cities
  • Super App adds delivery at $6,500 and $259 a month, and takes a share of cart totals too
  • Onde.Light starts at $12 a month with 1,000 free rides, then 1.9% — but web booking instead of a branded rider app

Onde does not publish the percentage it takes from each trip — it is quoted on a sales call. The two public reference points are Onde's own 1.9% on Onde.Light, charged after 1,000 free rides a month, and a third-party 2026 review that puts the main platform at 1–3% of gross bookings. Every other figure on this page is from Onde's own pricing page, read on 30 August 2026. Sources: Onde pricingOnde.Light pricingTaxi Web Design, 2026 review
