Against a one-time licence
Twelve months on the hosted plan comes to £10,728 at these numbers, with the servers, updates and support included. A licence is paid once and run on your own infrastructure, which you provide and staff.

Yes. Many operators start on BetterSuite Cloud to validate, then move to a Binary or Source license once their volume, compliance, or customization needs grow. We help plan the transition: a data-export path is supported on every Cloud plan, and your configuration (branding, regional settings, integrations) carries over to a self-hosted deployment.
No. The hosted plan sets no ceiling on completed orders, drivers, riders or cities — growth never means hitting a wall or being moved to a bigger tier. Volume reaches the bill through the 1.9% transaction fee on completed orders instead, so the cost follows what you actually earn. Self-hosted licenses are not metered by us at all.
Never out of the money itself — what your customers pay moves between you and your own payment processor, and it never passes through us. What differs is the software fee. The Binary and Source licenses carry no transaction fee at all: you pay once and owe nothing per order. The hosted Usage plan carries a published 1.9% transaction fee on completed orders, charged on top of its monthly fee. Payment processor fees (Stripe, MercadoPago, PayPal) are separate again, and are settled directly between you and the processor.
Plans cover the platform itself. A handful of optional things sit outside the price card and are billed as add-ons or pass-throughs:
Self-serve on Cloud: sign up, complete onboarding (branding, regional settings, payment provider), and the trial starts immediately. You can configure and test the full platform during the trial, then start taking real orders when you're ready. Cancel anytime — no questions.
45 payment gateways ship with a finished integration — Stripe, PayPal, Adyen, Mercado Pago, Razorpay, Paystack, iyzico, Kaspi and the rest — and 18 of them can also pay drivers and vendors out. Multi-currency is built in: set it platform-wide, per city, or per booking. If your market needs a processor we don't carry yet, our PSP plugin system is how we add it.
Yes. On Cloud you get your own branded mobile apps. App store publishing fees (Apple Developer US$99/yr, Google Play US$25 one-time) are paid by you to the platforms. We offer a publishing assistance add-on if you'd rather we handle the submission. Your customers can also join through our shared mobile apps using your join code, with no store submission at all.
Every plan includes one business type of your choice; add more on Cloud for £89/mo each. Cloud sets no limit on cities or monthly orders — it adds a 1.9% transaction fee on completed orders to the monthly fee instead, so a wider footprint costs what it earns rather than what it might. On self-hosted licenses, additional business types are a one-time add-on: £2,699 each on Binary, £8,999 each on Source.
After purchase, you receive every BetterSuite release — major versions, minor versions, and security patches — for one year, on both the Binary and the Source License. After that, an annual renewal keeps you on the latest builds. You're not locked out if you don't renew; your version keeps running, you just stop receiving updates.
The Source License includes the full Rust source for the platform plus our architecture documentation. You can fork and modify any service: dispatch logic, payment integrations, custom business types, internal tooling. You retain rights to your modifications. The Binary License gives you the compiled binary — same runtime, but no source-level customization.
No, renewals are optional. The renewal price for each license is shown on the plan card (e.g. £449/yr on the Binary License). Renewing keeps you on the latest releases and extends priority support. The platform you've already deployed continues to work indefinitely without renewal — but you'd be stuck on the version you have.
BetterSuite Cloud runs on managed infrastructure with regional options on request. Self-hosted and Source deployments run wherever your infrastructure runs — your data never leaves your environment. Audit logs, role-based access control, encryption at rest, and PCI-scoped payment handling (via PSPs) are built in. SOC 2 and GDPR posture documentation is available on request.
Early-stage startups (pre-Series A) and registered non-profits qualify for a discount on the hosted plan — contact us with your status before signing up, and we'll apply it to your account.
Self-hosted and Source licenses include a 30-day evaluation period. If the platform doesn't fit your use case after a good-faith evaluation, we'll refund the license fee minus any consulting time delivered. After 30 days, licenses are non-refundable, but you keep what you've paid for: the binary or source remains yours to run.
