Website

Publish a simple website for your business at your own address: build it from blocks, preview it privately, and read the enquiries visitors send.

Your workspace can have a public website: a few pages that introduce your business, list your services, link to your apps and take enquiries. It is optional, so nothing exists until you create it. The page is at Dashboard → Brand & apps → Website (/dashboard/site), with three tabs: Editor, Enquiries and Address & domain.

Create your website

On a workspace with no site, the page shows an empty state with a Create your website button. It generates a starter draft from your workspace:

  • your branding (name, logo, colors)
  • the business types you enabled (taxi, shop, parking, service)
  • your customer apps
  • your languages

Nothing is public yet. The draft is never visible to visitors until you press Publish, and until then your address answers "not found".

The editor

The editor shows your pages and blocks on one side and a live preview on the other.

Pages

Add, rename, delete and reorder pages, and edit each page's path.

  • A path is / or lowercase segments such as /about or /about/team.
  • There must be exactly one home page, /.
  • A path can't start with a reserved word: api, _next, _sites, static, assets, preview, sitemap, robots, favicon, graphql, auth, well-known or healthz.
  • A site can have up to 20 pages.

Blocks

A page is a stack of blocks. Choose from:

BlockWhat it shows
HeroA headline, a short line under it, an image and a button
AboutA heading, a few paragraphs and an image
ServicesYour services, filled in automatically from your catalog, or items you write yourself
GalleryA set of images
FAQQuestions and answers
ContactEmail, phone, address, opening hours and an optional enquiry form
App linksLinks to your web and mobile apps

Add blocks, drag them into order, or use the move up and move down buttons, which work from the keyboard. Hide keeps a block in the draft without showing it on the site, and Show brings it back. Delete removes it. A page holds up to 40 blocks and a list holds up to 50 items.

  • Text is plain text. HTML and markup aren't accepted. Line breaks in a long text become paragraphs.
  • Length limits per field: labels 80 characters, titles 160, summaries 400, body text 4000.
  • Images come from your asset library or a new upload. Give each image alt text so it is described for people who can't see it.
  • Links can be a full https:// address, a path on your own site such as /contact, or an anchor such as #faq.
  • Accent color sets the theme accent for the whole site.
  • SEO title and description are set per page, per language. They are what search results show.

Languages

The site can use any of the languages configured for your workspace in Regional settings. Each language has its own tab in the editor. Copy from default language fills a tab with the default language's text so you can translate from it, and a missing-translation indicator shows what is still empty.

Saving and preview

There is no Save button: each edit saves when you leave the field. The preview panel shows the draft, with a desktop and a mobile toggle, and refreshes after each save. Its link is private and expires after 30 minutes.

If a teammate saved the draft while you were editing, you get a conflict notice and can reload to pick up their changes.

Publish and unpublish

Publish takes the current draft live. Every page needs a title in the default language first. After that, an indicator shows when the draft has changes that aren't published yet, so you can keep editing safely.

Unpublish takes the site down but keeps your draft, so you can publish again later.

Enquiries

Add a Contact block and turn on Show enquiry form to let visitors write to you. Each enquiry:

  • appears in the Enquiries tab, a table with unread state, a detail panel, Mark read and Mark unread, and paging. The tab shows a badge with the number of unread enquiries.
  • is emailed to the workspace owner. Replying to that email goes to the visitor.

The form is protected against spam: each visitor and each site has a limit on how many enquiries they can send in a given period, and bots are filtered out silently. Only a published site takes enquiries.

Address and domain

Your free address

Your site lives at <your-address>.bettersuite.io, where your address is the workspace slug. Your apps sit beside it, for example <your-address>-shop.bettersuite.io, and the site takes the bare address.

For that reason some addresses can't be used, at sign-up or when you change your web address under Settings → Workspace:

  • platform names: www, api, admin, app, mail, smtp, ftp, cdn, static, assets, support, help, status, grafana, auth, login, system, internal, platform and bettersuite
  • anything ending in an app name: -rides, -drive, -shop, -vendor, -parking, -service, -provider or -admin

Your own domain

Only the workspace owner can add a custom domain to the site.

  1. Open the Address & domain tab and enter a subdomain such as www.acme.com. A root domain such as acme.com isn't accepted: use a subdomain.
  2. Add the CNAME record shown on the screen at your DNS provider.
  3. The console checks the record and shows the status. Press the check button to look again once your DNS has updated.

Once the domain is verified it becomes the site's main address, and <your-address>.bettersuite.io redirects to it (an HTTP 307 redirect). If the domain later stops working, the free address serves the site again.

Removing the custom domain needs the owner to re-enter their password.

What's next

  • Branding: the logo and colors the starter site is built from.
  • Custom Domains: put your apps on your own addresses too.
