Build your brand, open your doors — brand generation, Google and Apple sign-in, and tester accounts
Design a complete brand from one logo or from scratch, let customers sign in with Google or Apple, and try your own apps before you launch.
A month on from BetterShop, 278 changes have landed across the platform, the apps, and the web console. Almost all of them point the same way: taking a new business from signing up to a launched, fully branded product it can put in front of real people — without waiting on anyone.
A complete brand from a single logo — or from nothing at all
Branding used to mean arriving with finished artwork. Now it's a step in the wizard that takes about a minute.
Upload one logo and we build the rest around it — the mark on its own, the wordmark, the lockup, the monogram, light and dark treatments, a monochrome cut for receipts and email, and a full set of app icons at every size the stores ask for. Each app you've chosen gets its own artwork, and paired apps — passenger and driver, customer and vendor — are given related but distinct marks so nobody installs the wrong one.
Arriving with no logo at all is now a perfectly good starting point. Pick one of eight curated styles, choose your colour, and the studio composes an original mark for you. Every style renders at any colour, so you're choosing a shape and a personality rather than a fixed picture. Your second colour is yours to pick too, and the whole palette — surfaces, text, states, light and dark — is generated to sit correctly against both.
The brand studio is one continuous flow, with a single live preview showing your brand on a real device as you work. Change your business name later and every mark redraws itself to match. Change your colour and everything follows. Because we keep the recipe rather than the finished pixels, your brand can be re-rendered at any size, for any surface, at any time — including into your published app builds, which now pull their launcher icons straight from the brand you designed.
Continue with Google or Apple
Your customers can now sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple, in your apps and on your web console, under your own branding.
Apple's native flow is fully supported on iOS — the system sheet, Face ID, and Apple's private relay addresses — which is what the App Store expects from any app offering third-party sign-in. Both providers are configured per business, using your own credentials, so the sign-in screen your customers see belongs to you end to end. Someone signing up this way lands in the same place as everyone else, with the account details we need collected as part of the flow rather than bolted on afterwards.
You choose which methods to offer. Phone code, email code, passkey, Google and Apple can each be switched on independently, and the apps show exactly the buttons you've enabled.
Introducing BetterShop — a white-label delivery marketplace for food, groceries, and local goods
BetterShop is our new product for local delivery: launch a branded marketplace with dedicated customer and vendor apps, flexible menus, inventory and availability windows, address-aware delivery zones and your own couriers — and, for larger operations, hand express deliveries straight to the BetterTaxi driver network. Run one vendor or many, food or any goods.
Introducing BetterShop
BetterShop is our new product for local delivery — the white-label software to launch your own branded marketplace for food, groceries, and everyday goods. It ships as native apps your customers and vendors install under your brand, backed by the same BetterSuite platform that runs BetterTaxi: shared payments, accounts, analytics, and multi-brand architecture.
Self-host data export, sign-in policy everywhere, fairer billing, and taxi operations controls
Export your entire workspace for self-hosting in one guided flow, sign-in rules now enforced across every app with passkey support, plan changes with fair proration and a payment grace window, and runtime toggles for parcel, scheduled, and round-trip rides.
Your data is yours — self-host migration export
Businesses on the cloud plans can now take everything with them. A new
self-host export add-on (enabled on request) moves your full workspace —
drivers, vehicles, trips, shops, products, wallets, reviews, KYC,
uploads — out of the cloud and into your own infrastructure.
Two destinations. Download a complete archive via a secure,
expiring link, or stream directly into your own Postgres database —
including through an SSH bastion if your database isn't publicly
reachable.
AI across the workspace, legacy data import, auth policy, and platform support tickets
AI is now wired into KYC, reviews, shop, support, analytics, and driver voice — alongside a self-serve importer for legacy systems, per-role auth policy controls, and a support channel inside the admin panel.
AI is now a first-class part of BetterSuite
The biggest shift in May. A new AI layer runs across the workspace,
configurable per business with its own provider keys, usage and spend
tracking, and per-feature toggles. What it powers today:
KYC document OCR. Reviewer opens an application and document
fields are already extracted from the upload — ready to accept or
edit.
Incoming reviews are scored for abuse and spam
before they hit the public feed, with the AI's reasoning shown in the
moderation queue.
You can now create tester accounts for yourself and your team and sign into your live apps immediately — before connecting a messaging provider, before your first real customer, on any plan.
Each tester gets a role and a fixed sign-in code, so there's nothing to wait for and nothing to receive. Everything they do stays in its own lane: test orders are only ever offered to test drivers and vice versa, so a demo ride never reaches someone working, and never appears in your numbers. Test payments run through a sandbox, so a card used by a tester is never charged.
It's the fastest way to see your own product working: create a rider and a driver, book a ride between them, and watch the whole thing happen in the apps that carry your name. A new card on your dashboard walks you straight into it.
Ready to take orders in minutes
What you tell us while signing up now tells us most of what we need. From your cities, your categories and the way you plan to operate, we infer the rest of your configuration and put working settings in place across every area that needs one — all of it yours to adjust, and very little of it required before you begin.
The difference shows up on the clock: getting from a finished registration to a first live order used to take a few hours. It now takes a few minutes.
Plans, trials, and getting paid
Start without a card. Selected plans now begin their trial with nothing to enter, and plan cards say up front which ones need a card and which don't. If your trial is drawing to a close without one on file, we let you know in good time.
Clearer plans. Starter and Pro are now single-city, with multi-city on Enterprise, and pricing throughout the site comes straight from the live catalogue so what you're quoted is what you pay.
Three new ways to pay.UPI, BLIK and Swish join the payment options, offered automatically wherever your payment account supports them. Your dashboard shows exactly which methods your account can take, and refreshes on demand.
Payouts you can account for. Money is reserved before it leaves and reconciled against the outcome, so every transfer carries a matching record end to end. Bank details are stored fully encrypted.
A sharper live ride
Riders follow the car continuously on a live position stream. Pickup estimates account for live traffic, and every completed ride carries the distance it covered. An offer that goes unanswered moves promptly to the next driver, and the search picks up where it left off — shorter waits for riders, fewer missed chances for drivers. Drivers build lifetime totals across every ride they complete.
Ride notifications are quieter: updates about the same ride replace one another, and clear themselves once they're no longer relevant.
Behind it all, a Dispatch Health dashboard in the admin console shows how offers are flowing — accepted, declined, timed out — so you can see how well your coverage is holding up and tune it.
Finding the right address
Address search runs on Google's newest search service. Results are biased towards where the rider is, returned in their language, and presented as a clean, readable address line. In the console, a service area's boundary opens straight into the map editor, ready to adjust.
Around the product
Support — read receipts on ticket messages, so you can see when your message has been read, on both sides of the conversation.
Shop — merchants now own vendor approval outright, and a merchant account and draft shop are created for you the first time you sign in, so there's a storefront to work on from minute one.
Console — service areas and delivery zones are editable inline on the screens that use them.
Sign-in — a shorter 4-digit code to enter.
Platform — images are checked and re-encoded as they arrive, and photos taken on modern iPhones convert automatically on upload. Releases build about 25% faster, so improvements reach you sooner.
It's built to flex to your operation. Run a single storefront or a multi-vendor marketplace; sell restaurant meals, grocery baskets, or any catalog of goods; deliver with your own couriers or hand dispatch to a shared driver network. Same platform, shaped to how you actually operate.
A customer app made for real baskets
The customer app — iOS, Android, and Web — lets people browse nearby shops, search across your catalog, and fill one cart from several vendors in a single order. Every product can carry variations and add-ons, live availability, and per-item stock, so what customers see is what they can actually get. Checkout resolves delivery against your coverage, takes payment in-app, and hands back a live order they can follow from accepted to delivered. Ratings and reviews roll up per shop and per product.
A vendor app that runs the storefront
Vendors get a dedicated app to run their business end to end:
Catalog & menu — products organized by category, with variations and add-ons, priced and edited in place.
Inventory — a simple available/unavailable switch plus real numeric stock that draws down as orders complete.
Availability windows — per-product schedules (including overnight ones), so a breakfast item or a weekend special only shows when it's actually on.
Promotions — discount codes and campaigns to lift acquisition and basket size.
A live order queue — new orders surface immediately with a banner, and vendors move each one from preparation through to handoff.
Delivery that fits your city
Delivery is address-aware from the first order. Define delivery zones for each shop, set fees that respond to the customer's real drop-off, and BetterShop computes the right fee at checkout — or cleanly turns away out-of-area orders instead of failing at payment. Every order carries its pickup and drop-off waypoints end to end, so each party sees the same route.
Share drivers with BetterTaxi
This is where a larger operation pulls ahead. BetterShop can hand express deliveries straight to the BetterTaxi driver network — the same real-time dispatch that powers rides now moves parcels. Orders route to the nearest available driver whether they're carrying a passenger or a package, which keeps drivers busy, pushes per-delivery cost down, and gives you coverage from day one in cities where BetterTaxi already runs. No fleet to recruit before you launch.
Run it all from the control panel
The admin console gains a full shop control panel: manage vendors and their catalogs, watch orders and revenue in real time, and set the commission and delivery rules that govern the marketplace — with the same operational visibility you have across the rest of BetterSuite. Customer and vendor apps ship fully white-labeled, publishable under your own App Store and Google Play accounts, with no BetterSuite branding shown to the people who use them.
Live Activity ride tracking, follow-my-ride, driver payouts, and business analytics
Riders can track their trip from the iOS Lock Screen and share a live "follow my ride" link, drivers get smoother payouts and per-service controls, and you get a new business analytics dashboard, white-label push, and multi-language settings.
Live ride tracking — now on your Lock Screen
Riders no longer have to keep the app open to see where their driver is. BetterTaxi now ships a native iOS Live Activity: the ride appears on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island the moment it's booked — driver photo, vehicle and plate, a live ETA, and a progress rail that moves as the car approaches. It's delivered over Apple Push Notification service, including push-to-start, so it shows up before the app is even opened.
Behind the widget is a full live-tracking pipeline: real-time driver location with continuous rerouting and ETA, self-derived traffic from driver trails, and a passenger SOS / safety button. Riders can also share a "follow my ride" link — anyone with it opens a secure, token-gated web page and watches the trip live, no app or account required.
Faster, more flexible driver payouts
Getting drivers paid is smoother end to end. Drivers can now onboard for payouts with either a bank account or a manual method, powered by Stripe Connect built from your own payment credentials. Pending payout sessions surface in the admin console, and payment blocks can clear automatically or be waived by an admin — so a stuck payout no longer means a support ticket.
Per-service controls for drivers
Drivers can switch individual service classes on and off from their active services — take standard trips while pausing premium, for example. Dispatch respects each driver's per-class availability (including offline drivers), and the admin console shows each driver's service-class state at a glance.
A new business analytics dashboard
Your dashboard now leads with charts and business KPIs — orders, revenue, and performance trends over time — instead of static numbers. The platform overview was rebuilt the same way, with corrected revenue and MRR that only count live, paying accounts.
Get your apps live faster
A new launch center takes you from sign-up to live apps with clear completion signals and a checklist scoped to the services you actually run. It links straight into the mobile admin console via single sign-on, surfaces your app-store links, and a join-code dialog explains how your team installs the white-label app.
White-label push notifications
Notifications can now be delivered through your own Firebase project, so push on your white-label apps stays fully under your brand. Providers are configured and encrypted from the dashboard, and each device is automatically matched to the right project.
Languages & regional settings
You can now choose the languages your apps offer and set a default — every app shows only those languages through a shared picker. Regional settings also drive the measurement system (metric or imperial) in location cards, and status labels across the apps are now fully localized.
Dry-run first. Before anything moves, the exporter walks every
table and shows a coverage projection — what will be exported and
roughly how large it is.
Safe by default. Direct database transfers refuse to run against
a non-empty target unless you explicitly opt in, so a re-run can
never silently collide with existing data.
Hands-off completion. Long exports run in the background and
email you when the archive is ready to download.
Sign-in, your rules — now enforced in every app
May's auth policy page decided what sign-in methods are allowed per
role and per app. This month, every app enforces it end to end.
Login screens follow your policy. The passenger, driver, shop,
parking, and admin console apps now show exactly the sign-in methods
your policy allows — nothing more.
Passkeys across the board. Passkey enrollment is now offered in
all six apps, and only appears for user groups whose policy permits
it. Require passkeys for admins while customers keep phone OTP, or
roll them out to everyone.
Fairer billing
Change plans from the dashboard. Upgrade or downgrade your cloud
plan directly from Dashboard → Billing — no more round-trip through
the payment portal. Downgrades warn you up front if the new plan
allows fewer operation cities.
Fair proration. Upgrades charge only the prorated difference
immediately; downgrades bank the unused balance as credit on your
next invoice; nothing is charged during a trial.
A real grace window. A failed payment no longer interrupts your
operation. You now get 7 days of full service to update your payment
method, and the failure email tells you exactly how long you have.
The moment payment succeeds, everything is restored automatically.
Taxi operations controls
A new Taxi operations section under dashboard settings lets you
shape what your taxi service offers — at runtime, no app update needed.
Parcel delivery — turn the parcel option in the passenger app on
or off for your business.
Scheduled rides and round trips — enable or disable advance
booking and return-trip requests independently.
Instant effect. Apps read these flags when they start, so a
toggle flipped in the dashboard reaches your riders' phones without
waiting on a store release.
Review moderation.
Review summaries. Each driver, merchant, or service provider gets
an at-a-glance summary of their reviews — strengths, complaints,
recurring themes.
Product suggestions for shop vendors. Adding or editing a product
proposes a title, description, and category from a short prompt or
photo.
Semantic shop search. Product embeddings power natural search and
related-product suggestions — "wireless headphones under £50"
returns what the shopper meant.
Support ticket triage. New tickets land with a suggested
category, priority, draft reply, and the closest matching past
ticket.
Service question templates. Setting up a new service type
generates the intake questions from a one-line description.
Natural-language analytics. Ask questions like "top-grossing
vehicle classes last week?" on the accounting dashboard — no SQL,
no custom report.
Voice for drivers. The driver app reads new order requests and
active-order updates aloud, so drivers don't have to look at the
screen mid-traffic.
A dedicated AI page in the admin panel handles provider keys, spending
caps, per-provider usage breakdowns, and lets you flip each feature on
or off independently.
Legacy data import — Ridy and BetterTaxi v1 in one self-serve flow
The admin panel now has a built-in importer for legacy systems.
Auto-connect. Drop in the source credentials and hit Test
connection. The importer reaches the legacy server, inspects the
schema, and confirms it's a shape it can read.
Automatic schema mapping. Drivers, vehicles, trips, regions,
services, KYC, reviews, support tickets, wallets, uploads — every
table is mapped into the new schema without glue code.
Live progress, cancel and retry. Each phase reports as it runs,
individual phases can be retried, and incremental syncs pick up from
the last watermark — so cutover can happen in stages rather than one
big bang.
Ridy and the legacy BetterTaxi backend are the first two connectors.
More slot in without rebuilding the pipeline.
Per-business auth policy
A new auth policy page in the admin panel decides what methods are
allowed, encouraged, or required — per role and per app.
Per-app. Require passkeys in the admin console while keeping
phone-OTP only in the passenger app.
Per-role. Owners and admins can be held to a stricter bar than
end customers.
Three states per factor. Password, email OTP, phone OTP, passkey,
social login — each can be off, optional, or required. Sensitive
admin actions can also require a fresh re-auth.
Platform support tickets in the admin panel
Submitting a support ticket no longer means email back-and-forth or a
separate portal.
File from the admin panel — pick a category, write the issue,
attach files.
Threaded replies between the business and the platform team in
one conversation.
Email and in-app notifications on every status change, so neither
side has to keep an inbox open.
